TECH IN GHANA CONFERENCE 2017
The Ministry of Communication and AB2020 hosted the Tech In Ghana conference at the Accra Digital Centre from 21st to 22nd November 2017 in Accra, Ghana following the success of the maiden conference held in London in February, 2017. Tech in Ghana displayed groundbreaking local innovations and provided a platform to highlight, discuss and stimulate the growth of Ghana’s digital development.
The 2-day event, under the auspices of the Ministry Of Communications in collaboration with Accra Digital Centre highlighted locally developed technology, bringing together government, private sector and key industry leaders, to collaborate on building local tech into world-class systems. It also aims at exploring working together collectively in making Ghana a leading tech hub in the sub region. The Conference created an opportunity for start-up tech companies and their CEOs and already existent tech companies to learn about the advancement of technology in Ghana and gain new knowledge for their field of expertise.
Mrs. Ursula Owusu – Ekuful, the Minister of Communications called on the private sector to deploy innovative technology means to improve the National Identification (ID) system for national development.
This, she said, would stimulate the growth of Ghana’s digital development and ensure the achievement and promotion of the country’s digital economy.
She then visited all the stands at the exhibition grounds.
At the NITA stand, we had the Minister of Communications and her Deputies pass by the stand to congratulate NITA on the good work it is doing and enquired about new packages be rolled out by NITA.
Our stand at the exibition highlighted and threw more light on our products and services, we also had many questions on our bandwidth prices, e-commerce platform integrations, fibre optics deploymenst and many more. Many paswere impressed with the services we provide because they had no idea Ghana had an agency in charge of all that.
